Flagship project
Argentina is still closely associated with Mendoza, altitude, and Malbec. All three are essential, but contemporary Argentina is far more diverse. This tour of technical masterclasses brings that new story to the forums where opinion is formed and international reputation is built: leading academies, universities, and schools.
The goal is not just to taste regions and varieties, but to understand the factors behind each wine. Not just what Argentina tastes like, but why.
Supported byWines of Argentinaand the country's leading wineries, providing the wines for each edition.

Each masterclass uses wine as a gateway to a complete viticultural system: climate, geology, vine physiology, and winery decisions, all connected to Argentina’s place in the world.
From European immigration to Malbec as a global icon, and Argentina's positioning in sustainability, premiumisation, and diversity.
UV radiation, diurnal range, Andean water availability, and high-altitude microclimates: how they translate into acidity, tannins, and aromas.
Alluvial soils, calcium carbonate, and the growing evidence regarding the soil microbiome and its effect on the vine.
From the Calchaquí Valleys to cold, windy Patagonia, via the Uco Valley and emerging extreme zones.
Malbec, not as a single style but as many interpretations; Torrontés, Cabernet Franc, Pinot Noir, and the heritage of Criolla varieties.
Concrete eggs, amphorae, lower extraction, new use of oak, minimal intervention, and the technical challenge of alcohol-free wines.
Academic rigour
A space for knowledge transfer and sensory training. For those preparing for the WSET Diploma, it provides keys for theory and blind tasting; for professionals, an opportunity to compare styles and place Argentina against other world regions.
